Simple Sunday – Sigh

It has been thirty-seven days since we left the house as a family to go somewhere, actually getting out of the car. (I’m not counting going for a sanity drive, as going somewhere, nor am I counting walks.)

I’m feeling more that a bit like this guy.

And I know I should not be complaining. We are fine. We have more than enough oatmeal-chocolate-chip cookies to eat, but sometimes I just want more.

And please don’t get me wrong and think that I am making light of the situation; I am not. But I have never felt quite like a deflated looking, upside down Sock Monkey before.

We’ve been home since March 17th and yes, it feels like a year and a half. Especially since our weather has been atrocious. I miss restaurants, bars, shopping and my nail salon. But we’ll do what we have to do to keep ourselves… and everyone else safe.
    This too shall pass.
    Someday!

I agree, it does feel like a really long time. I don’t even have the weather to complain about as it has been a beautiful month or so with our temperatures just now starting to dapple in the low 100’s.

Oatmeal chocolate chips would tide me over for 30 days, but 37. . . you’re angst is totally understandable.
